SALAD DAYS GOES TWENTY
"Sniffin' glue since 2009" - Cover art, t-shirts and limited edition tape compilation for the twentieth issue of SDM!
La cosa bella delle collaborazioni è che quando nascono, crescono e si concludono alla grande (grazie alla buona intesa dei protagonisti) è che in occasioni importanti si viene sempre considerati. Con Salad Days hanno collaborato diversi artisti, tra l'altro pure bravi, bravissimi a volte però, noi di Thunderbeard possiamo dire di aver l'onore e il piacere di essere stati reclutati la seconda volta in pochi mesi per collaborare all'uscita numero 20 della rivista, disegnando una copertina e le magliette celebrative della nuova uscita. Roba semplice, classica e di impatto. Il boss voleva una roba senza fronzoli, diretta ed efficace... hardcore insomma! E da grandi fan di Suicidal Tendencies abbiamo optato per un lettering cholo un pò imbastardito con bandanazza Cyco sullo sfondo.
Per chiudere in bellezza Salad Days Mag in collaborazione con Green Records e Raptor Studio hanno confezionato una bella cassettina, (sì sì, quelle che mettevamo a rotazione nel walkman andando a scuola!) con i pezzi di alcune band di rilievo della Penisola, tutte passate dalle mani di Matteo "Ciube"Tabacco del Raptor Studio (nonchè bassista dei celebri vicentini Dufresne).
La cassetta sarà disponibile a brevissimo ma io ho già ascoltato i pezzi e sono tutti una bomba!
Quindi state in campana, recuperate sto numero di Salad Days Mag e la cassettina da mettere nel mangianastri della vostra Renault 5 smarmittata!
Ecco tutto il lavoro svolto, dalle bozze al prodotto finito.

The nice thing about collaborations is that when them start, go ahead and have a great ending (thanks to the good feeling of main actors), you will always be considered for important occasions.
Salad Days have collaborated with several artists, some good, sometimes very good, however, we at Thunderbeard can say that we have the honor and pleasure of being called the second time in a few months to work on the twentieth issue of the magazine, illustrating a cover and celebrating tees for the new release. Simple stuff, classic, impact. The boss wanted something with no frills, a punch in the face. In short, "hardcore"! We're big fans of Suicidal Tendencies so we chose a bastard cholo lettering with classic Cyco bandana on background.
For a grand final Salad Days Mag, in collaboration with Green Records and Raptor Study, have produced a great music tape, (yes, yes, those that we listened with a walkman, going to school!) with songs by some bands of the Italian Peninsula, all recorded by Matteo "Ciube" Tabacco of Raptor Studio (also known as the bassist of the famous Dufresne).
The music cassette will be available very soon, but I've already listened to the tracks and they are all pretty cool !!
So stay tuned, grab this issue of Salad Days Mag and that tape to put in the cassette player of your crappy, old Renault 5!

LIGNUM VITAE - "Zoe's" Eco t-shirt collection Spring 2014
E' già passato un anno e per la seconda volta Thunderbeard è stata reclutata da Zoe's store per la consueta collezione di t-shirt ecologiche di primavera. A differenza dell'anno scorso dove il tema principale erano i 4 Elementi (Terra, Fuoco, Acqua, Aria) quest'anno ci siamo voluti buttare a capofitto nella natura in particolare abbiamo pensato fosse interessante lavorare sul legno. Anche questa volta degli animali popolano le illustrazioni ma scambiano la propria muta pelosa/piumata con quella degli alberi, delle loro corteccie e dei loro fiori. "Lignum Vitæ" è una collezione di 4 disegni (Orso, Scoiattolo, Serpente, Picchio) stampate in serigrafia a due colori con inchiostri rigorosamente a base d'acqua su maglie ecologiche da donna (Orso e Serpente disponibili anche da uomo).
Dal 17 maggio 2014 queste maglie è possibile trovarle da Zoe's Store a Manerbio (Brescia) dove sono esibiti anche i disegni originali e alcuni poster serigrafati insieme alle illustrazioni della scorsa collezione "Zoe's and Four Elements".

A year has passed and or the second time Thunderbeard was recruited by Zoe's store for the usual spring collection of eco-t-shirts. Unlike last year where the main theme were the four elements (Earth, Fire, Water, Air) this year we have chosen to develop the theme of nature, in particular, we thought it would be interesting working on wood. Also this time, the animals are the main characters of the illustrations but they're exchanging their furry/feathered suit with one of the trees, their bark and their flowers.
"Lignum Vitae" is a collection of 4 designs (Bear, Squirrel, Snake, Woodpecker) silkscreen printed in two colors with water-based inks on eco t-shirts for women (Bear and Snake also available for men).
From the 17 May 2014 you can find these t shirts at Zoe's Store in Manerbio (Brescia) where you will find also performed some original drawings and screen printed posters. Also you can see the illustrations of the past collection "Zoe's and the Four Elements".
Dal 17 maggio 2014 queste maglie è possibile trovarle da Zoe's Store a Manerbio (Brescia) dove sono esibiti anche i disegni originali e alcuni poster serigrafati insieme alle illustrazioni della scorsa collezione "Zoe's and Four Elements".
